Heidi Rojas speaks the language of love - And music is her driving force. She graduated from Baylor University in 2008 and moved to Nashville, a 22 year old singer/songwriter ready to take on Music City. After a year of working at Warner Bros Records, Heidi moved on to pursue her dreams as an artist. She collaborated with Curb Records songwriter/producer Seth Jones, guitar sensations Tyler Bryant and Scott Mckeon, and Grammy Award Winning blues/gospel artist Jonny Lang, to write and produce an EP of 5 songs that truly represent who she is. Through the years, Heidi's music has evolved into a genre of her very own, bringing a fresh soulful sound to old-school, vintage grooves. “I want to celebrate the music I love: R&B, soul, pop, funk, hip-hop, jazz, rock. I love it all!” Her range of style is apparent in her musical influences, which vary from Marc Broussard and Nikka Costa, to Lauryn Hill, John Legend, Etta James, and Frank Sinatra. Heidi incorporates witty lyrics with catchy melodies, creating songs she calls “clean soul”. She aspires to be a source of encouragement to her generation, using her songs about life and love to spread a positive message. “I want to connect with people on a real level. If one of my songs can brighten up someone’s day, that would be enough for me.” Heidi’s much anticipated 5 song EP is set to release in January of 2010 and will include songs about life and love that will satisfy the senses and lift the spirit. Heidi’s jazz-inflected voice with character beyond her years, and her engaging lyrics and optimism create a powerhouse combination destined to make a difference.
