This CD is filled with songs that will teach young children how to count and how to identify colors and shapes. These songs will give children instructions on what to do and they will use listening skills to successfully do it. But the best part is, they will have fun while they are doing it and will not think much about the fact that they are actually learning these skills. Many of my songs will encourage movement which is great for brain power and fun. You will even recognize 3 traditional songs on this album. Some of the songs are just fun to listen to and learn to sing. Preschoolers and kindergarten children will appreciate the humor in songs like "My Pippilo Goes to School" and "Frogs in My Backyard." "Frogs in my Backyard" is wonderful if a teacher can learn to sing the song and have the children fill in the foods that the frogs like to eat. This is how I perform this song with children, and the fact that they can fill in the foods gives them a sense of power to be able to help me write that part of the song. This CD does include two lullabies/ballads which moms and dads will enjoy at bedtime. This CD follows a similar formula that I use for all of my CDs which means that most of my songs are interactive, a couple are fun to sing and I do include 2 or 3 slower songs/lullabies. Children who know me love me and love my music, but the cool thing is is that children who have never met me will ask to hear my CDs over and over again. I believe that I have worked hard and been very attentive to what the children love. I have found my way into the heart of these children who will listening.
