Wetbrain is a band that prides itself on venturing into the unfamiliar. It is a band that brings genres that aren't often acquainted with one another together to create a new sound with a unique and intoxicatingly catchy aesthetic. The band has been known to incorporate the stylings of alt rock, hip hop, blues, funk, and metal (often combining 2-3 of those sounds in any given song) into a refreshing new style with a keen sense of pop sensibility, effectively making Wetbrain unorthodox, yet incredibly catchy as well. These genres do not step on one another's toes, but instead become ingrained within one another, basically creating their own genres from song to song. Although certain songs may have different styles than others, you never feel like they have lost their identity. They are able to travel from sound to sound while always sounding like Wetbrain. "She Bad" is Wetbrain's first fully self produced single release and collaboration with other artists. Andrew Haff had been slowly building a home studio and recording tracks as often as he could. He created the music for this song and had it in his pipeline for awhile. Wetbrain had been transitioning a lot with new members and growing their sound. This one track is very hip-hop in nature and he wanted to definitely have Matt del Rio on it to keep it true to Wetbrain's sound and styling but also thought that it would make a great song to feature some of his favorite rappers on. Andrew's long time friend Adam Ferrone has been gaining a lot of success in the rap-battle world and they always wanted to do a collaboration. Adam came over to the house one night to record after Andrew sent him the track and he nailed his verse pretty much right away. There was room for a third verse and Andrew always liked the way Russell Kutys sounded from shows Wetbrain had played with his band Weekday Warriors in the past. Andrew sent him the track and he emailed over the .wav files he recorded at his house and did it quickly and professionally. (Like a boss)! At this point the song still had not had a hook. One late night Haff and del Rio stayed up all night drinking bitter coffee and chain-smoking until it was finished and didn't need any other work done to it. And the result is this song. Andrew sent it over to Paul Starkey Geissinger (RBOS Audio) for mastering as he had mastered the bands early first three singles and loved his work.
