alfred vogel is a drummer, musician, producer and festival organizer based in the western mountains of austria. his collaborations with artists from africa, the states, great britain and europe proof an extraordinary interest in different cultures and their artistic outputs. in this very project, poets, strong characters of the vally Bregenzerwald, as well as actors and a kids choir are put together to get the essence of the dialect itself, the state of the art (mundart). it shows the vivid and lively language of this area which is worldfamous because of it´s architecture and craftmenship. the poems, songs and dialogues were soundedited in a musical way, so that even if one might not understand a word, it still might be entertaining. at least the language itself has a swing feeling, based on a triplet rhythm, which is quite outstanding for the more or less stiff ´german´which is more based on a two beat rhythm. if you listen between the lines you might also hear some critic perspective of todays alpine life itself. the cd is cult already - some love it, some hate it. the ones who love it say it´s genius (Norbert Mayer), the others say it´s blasphemy ....
